Gone Today Hair Tomorrow

Big Andy Laidlaw of Scottish ska band Big Fat Panda is growing his hair into 2020 with the goal to raise a minimum of £1000 if not more with the intention of shaving it off at the November 2020 Specialized Big One 9 event.

Andy says:
I’ve been involved with Specialized since year one I’m proud to say . It’s a great organisation that does so much good .
Anyway at last years event I had a crazy idea to grow my hair for 1 full year . Fuelled with alcohol and inspired with this years theme Glam Rock and a lesson on keeping my mouth shut lol .
My intention is to raise £1000 for Specialized. I’ve been growing my hair now since the weekend before the Big One 8 as that’s the last time I shaved my head . I will let it grow until we finish our performance at the Big One 9 . That’s when I will finally get to shave my bonce again .
It may seem like an easy feet but believe me it’s driving me crazy . I’ve almost given up a few times if it were not for the donations so far .
I’m probably about half way towards my goal and halfway towards the big shave .
I’d like to thank everyone so far that has donated to this mad idea . It truly is appreciated.
I still need to get to the £1000 target though and any more donations would be amazing.
