Detroit Riddim Crew at The Big One

Detroit Riddim Crew will be joining us at The Big One Festival
DRC is a collection of musicians who have come together to record Jamaican influenced music in the city of Detroit. Recording at Castle Hooligan. Detroit Riddim Crew was formed to give artists a way to come to Detroit to perform with a band that is grounded in Jamaican styles. Recording soon followed as the group created riddims for various vocalists and released their first single in April of 2019. Members of the band have won 6 Detroit Music Awards in the Outstanding Reggae/World category.

Spearheaded by Eric Abbey, the first vinyl release featured Dave Hillyard on sax over the Castle Riddim. This was dubbed by Agent J on the B side. The second release was Oh Shepard, featuring Jah Ques on vocals and the Riddim on the B Side. The debut full length features Oh Shepard and many other songs recorded over the past 5 years including versions of Christmas Holiday classics.
