SHARING THE LOVE…SPECIALIZED IN UGANDA
One of the joys of doing what we do is supporting people. We’ve come a long way since our inception in 2011 and come a long way in how we work and what we can do.
As well as breaking out into the field of Assistive Technology, providing use of instruments to those who wouldn’t normally get access to musical instruments via our Instrument Library, supporting usual causes and new projects around the UK , we have recently being working with the SOT Project Orphanage in Uganda. The Project is headed by Julius Musenero. He himself was orphaned and as he grew, he wanted to help support the growing number of orphans in his area by repaying his way and building his own orphanage and creating the SOT Project to enable funding from home and overseas to ensure the continuance of the Orphanage by getting funding for food, education, clothing and more. With over 100 orphans on site it is a 24 hour task for Julius. We chatted a few weeks to see how we could help and we have since provided support for food and of course, sport where we bought the football crazy children new balls to replace the battered leather ones they were using.
Seeing Julius at work and how tirelessly he does his work, trying to create a better life for these children is an amazing feat and we are honoured to be working with the SOT Project.
