Supporting Pivotal at The Big One 10
Here at Specialized, we get actively involved at The Big One 10 with other charities. In 2019 at The Big One 8, customers coming to the event brought bags of food for the Food Bank Skank foodbank Initiative. You did us all proud by bringing in lots of food that went to people worse off than ourselves.
THIS YEAR– we want you to dig deep again for the amazing people at PIVOTAL
What do Pivotal do?
They support individuals with issues related to homelessness, substance misuse, alcohol dependency and, frequently multiple support needs which make them vulnerable. By offering them a safe place to live, together with support, we offer the opportunity for people to move their lives forward towards living independently.
THEY ARE IN DESPERATE NEED OF THE FOLLOWING –
Any toiletries male and female, shampoo, soap , shower gel , shaving foam disposable razors , deodorants of any kind sanitary wear women’s of course , toothpaste ,toothbrush flannels, unwanted towels (don’t have to be new ones as they can wash them just in good nick) , Socks plus supplies of condoms as they work with vulnerable girls who work the streets if you so wish to help on that front.
Scottie will be running this project at the site at Sandford and will have a table set up for anything you can bring to help. Pivotal worker Lisa Fox will also be on hand to answer any questions you may have.
